Klea Harris

Klea is passionate about guiding families to use the estate planning process as a tool for transformation and healing in their relationships, steering away from perpetuating conflicts. She advocates for estate planning that is guided by love and governed by law. In 2019, she founded Angel Advocates, PLLC, where she leads a team of like-minded estate planning attorneys and consults with over 500 attorneys to help them integrate purposeful elements into their practices. Klea holds a bachelor's degree in History and Gerontology, as well as a law degree from Brigham Young University.

Kara Dassel, PhD

Kara Dassel, Ph. D., is a professor of Gerontology in the College of Nursing at the University of Utah. Her research interests focus on dementia, end-of-life care planning, and caregiver health outcomes. She is the principal investigator on an NIH-funded clinical trial aimed at promoting engagement in dementia advance care planning in community-based dyads. 

Dr. Dassel serves on the board of the Utah Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and is a member of the Utah Commission on Aging and the Utah Alzheimer’s Disease Coordinating Council.
